For any aspiring writer, it is essential to be as informed as possible on the business of writing, as well as the craft. Writers tend to focus on craft until the moment a book is complete. Meantime, the valuable resources that aid in finding agent and publishing representation may go neglected in the heat of creativity and revision. I’m grateful my teachers of craft did not neglect to instill in me the need for marketing skills early on and the development of platform. And to Writer’s Relief for indispensable information on how to address the crucial business side of writing.
