Not so long ago, in a land not so far away (maybe right in your own neighborhood), a writer spent time writing and rewriting, proofing and editing. And finally the writer was sure this work had a good chance of getting published.
If only it got into the hands of the right literary agents and editors!
But the writer had a family and lots of personal responsibilities: car pools, fencing lessons, dinners to prepare, etc. Plus, things at the office were crazy busy. With a full life, the writer had lots of inspiration for things to write about…but no time to submit the work anywhere.
The writer kept hoping for the right time—the perfect time—to focus on researching the best markets to target for submissions. Because, let’s face it, researching where to send (and just as importantly, where NOT to send) your writing takes A LOT of time. Many, many, many hours.
Next week I’ll do the research, the writer promised. Next month I’ll be sure to spend time finding the right places for my writing.
But when “next week” and “next month” rolled around, there was always another reason why the writer’s goals ended up on the back burner.
And finally, the writer realized…
There would never be a perfect time to get serious about getting published.
The stars weren’t going to align. Obstacles weren’t going to magically disappear.
So the “write” moment…was right now.
It was time to try something the writer heard other authors with publication credits talking about in the weekly writing group meetings.
Because for over twenty-five years, the research experts at Writer’s Relief have been pinpointing the best markets for writers to help them make effective submissions and boost their odds of getting published. Writer’s Relief conducts comprehensive research, formats, proofreads, and even creates cover and query letters.
The result? 583 acceptances so far this year. Over 19,000+ acceptances since 1994.
Now it’s your moment. Right now can change everything.
The autumn publishing rush is just around the corner, and our Review Board is currently considering submissions of books (novels and memoirs), poems, stories, and essays.
Your “write” time—is now.
