Two hundred twenty years ago today, English novelist and short story writer Mary Shelley was born. Shelley is best known for her iconic novel Frankenstein, which has captured the imaginations of generations of readers and inspired numerous television, film, and stage play adaptations over the years.

In honor of Mary Shelley’s birthday, and in the spirit of Frankenstein, let’s have some fun and piece together the parts you’ll need to breathe life into a new title for a short story, poem, or book! Just take the first letter of your last name to find the beginning of your title, and then find the ending using the word located by the month you were born! We here at Writer’s Relief hope you enjoy a monster-sized laugh from the title you come up with—reveal your creation in the comment section below!
