On a chilly October night, a writer out walking encounters the Headless Horseman riding his swift-footed steed.

Headless Horseman: Woah! What are you doing wandering around out here in the dark? Also, shouldn’t you be terrified and screaming right now? I have a large sword and a jack o’ lantern for a head.

Writer: Oh sorry, Headless Horseman. I’m so distracted—I’ve spent hours and hours trying to research and find markets for my writing. But there are so many to consider! Plus all the different guidelines, reading dates, genres…I finally had to get a breath of fresh air; my head was spinning.
