When a classic book passes into public domain, it can be reprinted and sold with a new cover—and some of those book cover choices have been surprisingly bad. For many of these books, it’s obvious the cover designer has no idea what the story is about. In this article at LitHub.com, Writer’s Relief saw inexplicable book cover designs for such classics as The Scarlet Letter, Pride and Prejudice, and even Macbeth (seriously, what is with that hat?).
Have fun reviewing all the very bad book covers here.
