Meet our featured client, Dana Robbins! With more than forty poems published, Dana knows a lot about being featured—in fact, she was featured by Garrison Keillor on the Writer’s Almanac. She also received first prize in the Musehouse Poem of Hope Contest, an honorable mention in 2017 and third prize in 2018 from the Anna Davidson Rosenberg Award for Jewish Poetry, and an honorable mention in the Fish Poetry Contest. Dana also won the Maine Senior Poet Laureate contest in 2013.

Read on and watch the video to hear how partnering with Writer’s Relief has helped Dana maintain a submissions schedule that’s led to numerous acceptances by literary journals.

In Dana’s Own Words

Sometimes it can be difficult to find the time to write. As a poet, submitting individual poems to multiple journals is time consuming and labor intensive, but having Writer’s Relief handle my submissions frees me to write. Even when I am busy doing other things, Writer’s Relief is working to get my poems out there.

One of the biggest challenges of being a writer is to remain motivated in the face of rejections. However, Writer’s Relief has helped me to get a steady stream of acceptances so that my confidence and motivation remain high. The dedicated staff at Writer’s Relief is extremely helpful and always responds to my inquiries in a timely manner. They are readily available by phone and e-mail, and I feel they genuinely care about me.
