Calling all writers out there! Calling all book lovers who embrace their creative minds! This one’s for you. GIFs (Graphics Interchange Format), those fun little animated images, have taken over the Internet and embrace every possible scenario. So here are GIFs that perfectly showcase our wacky, fun, awesome writer lives.

Coffee is important. Coffee gets you through long nights of writing.

Too often, when you should be writing, it’s easy to be distracted by Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc.

via GIPHY

Sometimes this seems like the best way to deal with writer’s block:

Just when you’re trying to get to sleep, your writing muse decides to inspire you and keep you awake.

On occasion, you need to go to a beautiful place where you can be alone and think.

via GIPHY

It’s a great feeling when you have a breakthrough and you know you’re finally headed in the right direction.

via GIPHY

You can be found in pretty odd sleeping positions after you’ve been up all night writing.

via GIPHY

Maybe you’ve spent too much time sitting at your computer trying to finish your writing. So maybe your friends have had to intervene and insist that you leave the house.

via GIPHY

It can be pretty scary to finally hit that “send” button, knowing that you just put your work out into the world for people to see.

via GIPHY

Sometimes you have to resort to begging a friend to read your latest work—for editing, or just to assure you that your piece isn’t miserably awful.

via GIPHY

There’s been at least one time you forgot to hit “save”—and lost your writing. Admit it.

via GIPHY

When people ask how your work is coming along, sometimes you pretend to be writing.

via GIPHY

It’s frustrating when someone interrupts you while you’re on a roll—and you lose your train of thought.

via GIPHY

You want someone in your life who understands how much you love reading and will go with you on dates to the bookstore.

via GIPHY

Cats can be your best friends, but they can also get in the way of your writing progress.

via GIPHY

Sometimes you look back over your old writing…and it is NOT a pretty sight.

via GIPHY

It’s hard when literary magazine editors say that they really liked your work, but it just didn’t make the cut.

via GIPHY

When you meet a literary agent, you should always be wearing your friendliest smile.

via GIPHY

Sometimes it can be hard not to get emotionally attached to your characters.

via GIPHY

Yay! An acceptance! Happy Dance!

via GIPHY

As much as you love writing, occasionally you need to take a break from it.

via GIPHY

Sometimes the fictional world you’re reading about can seem very real.

via GIPHY

You have that one good friend who always comforts you when you’re in a writing slump.

via GIPHY

You’re one of a kind and awesome. Admit and celebrate it. It’s part of being a writer!

well I don’t have a cat, ha, ha! And Oh yes I did not hit save once and lost an entire chapter ARGH! fortunately I have it all hand written and saved so I don’t lost stuff. Whew. I learned the HARD way never to write anything from the computer/work processor. Have a hand written copy first. Takes more work but…

A woman in my writing group lost a bunch of stuff in the “cloud” and she can’t reconstruct it because she doesn’t have another copy anywhere. I don’t trust cloud now for anything. If i use another data back up system, it will be something else.

I don’t GO to social media. Face book is the only place I go. I find LinkedIN to be mostly a waste of time. Can’t contact anyone most of the time anyway, and don’t get a response when I do most of the time. Social media is a waste, keep writing.

Oh, when yhou get some inspiration for your story, doesn’t matter what time of day or night. Do it. you can sleep later…unless you have a day job. Then that can be frustrating. I never seem to HAVE that problem. Most of my MUSE came AFTER work! 🙂
