Meet our featured client, Abby Caplin! With over eighty poems published, Abby has received countless award nominations and honorable mentions. Her work has appeared in AGNI, Broad River Review, Crack the Spine, Forge, Schuylkill Valley Journal, and many other literary journals. Abby was also a finalist for the 2018 Rash Award in Poetry, a semifinalist for the 2018 Willow Run Poetry Book Award, a nominee of the 2018 Sundress Best of the Net Award, and received honorable mention in the 2018 Janice Farrell Poetry Prize/Soul-Making Keats Literary Competition.

Read on and watch the video to learn how doing the exact same thing (watching a video!) helped Abby discover Writer’s Relief, and how we helped her become a published poet many times over.

In Abby’s Own Words

Writer’s Relief has been a huge blessing. Having come to writing poetry later in life, I didn’t know the first thing about where to submit my work. By chance I found a few places that accepted my poems, after which I got a slew of rejections. Discouraged, I stopped sending them out.

In 2014, I happened to watch an author video about Writer’s Relief and decided to apply. I was thrilled when they accepted me! Writer’s Relief got me started with an excellent cover letter, and I’ve since published over eighty poems. I’m grateful for all their hard work: impeccable proofreading (saving me from embarrassing mistakes), tailored submissions lists, strategy calls, and author website support. And by forwarding all my rejection e-mails to Writer’s Relief, I can psychologically move on, knowing that each rejection is simply a step to another acceptance.

We cannot work with the short stories if they have been previously published.
