One chilly October night, as jack-o-lanterns glowed in the darkness, a writer sat by the window—completely frozen in fear.

Was there something terrifying lurking out in the night? A toothy vampire? A ghastly ghost?

No…what was turning the writer’s blood ice-cold was right there on the computer screen, glowing bright against the gloom. It was an edited, proofread, ready-to-go work the writer had just completed.

And the writer was…

afraid.

Which might seem strange. After all, this was really good writing! But the writer was petrified by the thought of all the hours and hours of research needed to find the right places to send the work. And then, of course, the horrible…the unspeakable…the rejection letters!

So the writer went to bed in despair.

But the next morning, the writer found a Halloween-themed email from a company called Writer’s Relief. Apparently, the staff really likes to celebrate Halloween and dress up as elves, and superheroes, and skeletons—wait, where were we? Oh yeah, the email.

The email said:

We do all the research and pinpoint the best markets for your work to boost your odds of getting an acceptance. Writer’s Relief takes the bite out of rejections! And we’re accepting writing samples from potential clients right now!

Many clients of Writer’s Relief report that working with a team of submission strategy experts removes the discomfort of receiving rejections—allowing writers to conquer their fears about making submissions.

Writer’s Relief does all the research busywork, so writers can focus on what they do best—writing!

Encouraged, the writer decided to submit work to the Writer’s Relief Review Board.

And a few weeks later, after being offered a spot on the Writer’s Relief client list, the writer’s first batch of targeted submissions went out.

Sure, a few rejections came back—but the process wasn’t nearly as tricky or scary as the writer thought it would be.

And one day, the writer received  the biggest treat of all: An acceptance!

And the writer smiled and laughed with glee: MWAH-HA-HA!

(Hey, it’s a Halloween Tale. There has to be one good mwha-ha-ha!)

At Writer’s Relief, we’ve been helping make the submission process less scary for writers since 1994. And our system works: Our clients have received 919 acceptances so far this year—and the big autumn publishing rush has only just begun!

Right now, we’re accepting new clients on a limited basis.

Genres:

  • Books (novels, memoirs, etc.)
  • Poetry
  • Short stories and personal essays

Do you want to know what would really be scary? If you missed out on all the great publishing opportunities out there.

EEK! Don’t wait!

DEADLINE: Thursday, October 17
