We are very happy to introduce our featured client Emily Eddins! Emily’s entertaining writing bubbles over with witty and wry insights. Her quirky sense of humor came in handy when she gave up her fast-paced urban lifestyle for small-town living in California. Emily’s poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction have appeared in many literary publications including Louisville Review and Willow Review. Watch her video here.

In Emily Eddins’s Own Words

Pardon the cliché, but sometimes getting your writing published can feel like climbing a mountain! Writer’s Relief has helped make my trek a lot easier by doing the footwork that I simply don’t have time to do: writing cover letters, researching publications that would be interested in my work, and submitting my writing according to each journal’s specific guidelines. The result? Writer’s Relief has helped me place my work in ten literary journals in the last two years. I have now published across three different genres, including creative nonfiction, short fiction, and poetry. Writer’s Relief has helped me significantly enhance my resume. With each new acceptance, I feel a sense of pride and accomplishment that my work is not only making it into the world, but is appreciated by people who are experts in their field. Thanks, Writer’s Relief, for helping this writer achieve her goals.

More About Emily Eddins

After spending the past ten years joining and quitting baby groups, volunteering for jobs at her kids’ schools, and coming up with fresh and creative excuses as to why she still can’t ski very well after twenty years of trying, Emily Eddins has finally published Altitude Adjustment, the collection of essays she spent one year writing and nine years editing! Fun fact: Since its release, Altitude Adjustment has made it to the Kindle Top 10 Hot New Releases in short 90-minute biographies and memoirs! Three pieces in the collection were previously published in the Louisville Review, Forge, and Toad Suck Review. Her poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction have also appeared in a range of literary publications including the Willow Review, Fault Zone, the Rio Grande Review, Cape Rock, and Front Porch. She lives in Northern California with her husband and three children.
