Dear Writers,

We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their support as we at Writer’s Relief try to repair the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy to our office and to our lives.

As you may know, a number of staff members totally lost their homes. Others suffered severe damage. Our office, not far from the Hackensack River, was flooded and has been without power for many days.

These are difficult times. We’re exhausted, and sometimes it’s hard to focus on the positive. But our staff is the BEST—strong, dedicated, caring, and efficient. We’re pulling together as an office and as a community. We can’t say how much your support means to us.

Our hearts go out to everyone who was affected by this tragedy. Thank you so much for your patience as we regroup. We will continue to post updates on Facebook.

Sincerely,

Ronnie L. Smith

Writer’s Relief, president

P.S. I know it must’ve sounded silly to ask about the fish when you have lost so much! But I had talked with Ronnie last week and it just seemed to add to of all the difficulty, sadness, and heartbreak that the gorgeous fish in that huge aquarium that provided such beauty in your office could have died.

Sorry to hear you’ve blown your top…but Sandy is gone, she is no more so we can all look forward. Greetings from Ireland and keep up the good work. From Kate.

Than you for this note. I had been concerned that Writer’s Relief was affected by Hurricane Sandy but did not think about checking the FaceBook page. So very sorry to hear about what happened and glad that you were able to find another location so quickly.

Really appreciated your sharing Frank’s story, despite being in the middle of a crisis – what an inspiration!!

Thanks to you and your team for the help you’ve provided me with. I now have two published stories and am busy sending out two others.

All the best with your post-Sandy situation,
    Iromie W.

    Hello Ronnie,

I thought of you during the storm and I had sent a message wishing you and the team well. I only noticed a few days later that it wasn’t sent. Sorry to hear about the damages and my thoughts were with all the folks along the storm track. Wishing you the strength to get back on your feet soon, thanks for all the interesting tips and articles from WR over the years and looking forward to receiving the newsletters when you are strong enough again. Blessings to you and the team

    Rosalyn
